Wear is the point here, and Balenciaga builds it in, giving the 3XL an aged, distressed finish in a leather-free mix of polyurethane and polyester. Long laces criss-cross the entire upper as a fixed decorative cage rather than a closure, threaded with plastic beads spelling BCG and small coloured charms. A yellowed midsole underlines the aged effect.
